What is RFID?
These tags are small electronic chips embedded into the chain capacity
tags. The RFID chip itself does not store any information but contains
an unique identifier which is the ‘key’ to unlock product,
inspection, and important safety information.
This information is stored in a database which can be read by any computer
with access to the internet. NO special software is required, just your
late version internet browser like Explorer, Safari, Firefox, Netscape,
etc.
How do I get access to the database?
Access is made availabe through a website and a series of usernames and
passwords. All you
need is a computer with internet access. The database is NOT located at
Unirope but at a secure professional managed information storage facility.
How do I read the RFID tag?
You can purchase a stationary or handheld RFID reader. But even if you
don’t have one you can still access any information as long as you
have available the sling serial number. As a matter of fact, you don’t
even need anything to start browsing through your entire sling inventory
if you wish so!
